Vince James receives 2018 Citizens Award

On October 2nd, 2018, shortly after 6 AM, emergency units responded to a serious accident on route 183 in Jefferson Township involving a large truck that had rolled over and landed on top of an occupied car, trapping the driver under the truck.  Emergency personnel contacted V&M Towing to assist with the extrication.  Vince James and his team responded with a police escort and lifted the truck off of the car, allowing rescue crews to work safely to remove the driver from the wreckage. This is just one recent example from a long history of dedicated and skilled service to the community. Since 2002, V&M Towing has responded to more than 119 incidents in the Borough of Wyomissing alone, and to many incidents in other Berks County municipalities. Many have involved serious heavy truck collisions.  Most of these wrecks resulted in injuries and severely damaged trucks, and involved closures of major highways.  Many have resulted in complicated recovery operations involving overturned trucks, and hazardous and damaged cargo clean up.  V&M Towing, under Vince James’ leadership, consistently respond with the experience, knowledge, and equipment needed to safely stabilize and remove these wrecks and get our highways opened, contributing to the safety of first responders, and the safety and convenience of thousands of Berks County commuters.  By his dedicated and capable service to law enforcement and the motoring public of Berks County,

Vince James
